Chef Normand Laprise named « Tourism Personnality » by the Grands Prix du Tourisme Québécois

During the Grands Prix du Tourisme Québécois Gala, the 3rd of April 2014, the Grand chef Relais & Château, Normand Laprise, from Toqué! restaurant, received the award of “Tourism personality”.

Still emotional, Chef Laprise shared his thoughts – “I congratulate Tourisme Montréal to have assembled a group of candidates and finalists from such different disciplines but all sharing the same creativity and commitment to success. I am proud to be part of this group” confides Laprise.

And he added “I can tell you today that this homage spurs me to go further. I am totally boosted! I wish also and in all sincerity to include in this homage my long-time associate and accomplice, Christine Lamarche, a most trustworthy lady who I truly admire. I salute my teams, all of them throughout the years, who stimulated my creativity, who supported my audacious ways and my “Toquades!” that are now adopted by many – a cuisine of terroir, no spoilage, of proximity, organic, authentic and seasonal. I also salute the artisans involved for their passion and love of our earth, lakes and oceans.”
