Montreal, November 15, 2017 – Chef Normand Laprise is one of the pioneers of high-end restaurants in Quebec and has made a significant contribution to Montreal's international reputation for fine dining. The Foundation of the Association des restaurateurs du Québec (ARQ) did not hesitate to salute his work and his talent by awarding him his Hommage Chapeau restaurateurs prize! 2017. Laprise, owner of Toqué! Restaurant, was honoured in front of his peers during a Gala dinner held yesterday as part of the ARQ 2017 Rendez-vous at the Delta Hotel in Trois-Rivières, Québec.

Since its creation in 2001, the ARQ Foundation has been involved in activities, campaigns and events dedicated to encouraging the excellence and development of workforce training in the restaurant and food industry, promotion of catering trades as a career choice for young people. The Fondation also takes part in activities aimed at promoting the Québec restaurant industry to the general public and the public authorities.
